The Dairy is located behind an exotic cactus garden on our property and it was inspired by the original old dairy on our farm. With simplicity and luxury at the forefront we have built a two bedroom home behind the old dairy. The Dairy has been designed to enhance the magnificent hinterland views from every room. Moody interiors feature locally crafted furniture and unique fittings in the space. You could be anywhere in Tuscany but in fact you are only 15 to 20 minutes from the beaches of Byron Bay and Lennox Head.
The old dairy building has had many uses over the past 40 + years. It was originally used as an actual dairy when the current farm was part of a much larger land holding, and since then as horse stables. It has now been lovingly restored and retains the old dairy’s complete original facade and its structure, keeping the textures and tones of its unique timbers. For us it provides a contrast and connection between the beauty of the old and the new buildings.

The Dairy is available for both accommodation and location hire. The Dairy includes two bedrooms (sleeps 4) and a spacious, open plan living area that showcases the rolling green hills of the hinterland through featured floor to ceiling glass. The Dairy is a textural feast from the dark moody interiors of the new Dairy building to the original raw timbers of the old dairy, making it a great location for photoshoots and small events. THE SPACE
A stay at The Dairy allows you to soak up the peace and beauty of the more hidden parts of the Byron Bay and Lennox Head hinterland.
The Dairy includes two bedrooms and a spacious, open plan living area that showcases the rolling green hills of the hinterland through featured floor to ceiling glass. The living room also hosts a significant stone fireplace built from local stone. The furnishings can best be described as luxurious, comfortable, and rustic with soft neutral colours and oversized armchairs. The bathroom has a large two person concrete bath and a double shower (includes a rain shower) that overlooks the exotic fruit orchard through large slide-away glass doors.
The Dairy sleeps up to 4 people.
Minimum stay 2 nights (shoulder), 3 nights (Australian school holidays)
You have easy access to the restaurants and shops of Bangalow (15 min drive) and Newrybar (5 minute drive) as well as the world class beaches of Byron Bay (20 minute drive) and Lennox Head (15 minute drive). The natural beauty of Killen Falls is also just a five minute walk away. .
Getting to The Dairy is easy, only 15 minutes drive from Ballina airport and 20 minutes from the centre of Byron Bay town.
Price varies from $850 (low season) - $1100 (high season/school holidays) per night.

Moody charcoal walls, dark timber floors, picture perfect hinterland views, combined with the rustic charm of the old timbers and flagstone courtyard of the original dairy provide any number of unique textures and scenic backdrops to showcase fashion, furniture and homewares.
The Dairy spaces can be hired on a full day (10 hour) or more basis. This includes full use of both old and new buildings as well as the surrounding gardens that hug both buildings. The Dairy is located on the same property as La Villa, and can include full use of the La Villa gardens (additional fees apply). The Dairy may be available for a half day (5hrs) on application.

EVENts
With options for indoor and outdoor dining, we can provide the location for a variety of intimate daytime events including elopements, corporate lunches and family celebrations. Our dining area for events is outside in the original old dairy building which is an under-cover space with a large feasting table and barbecue. Use of the kitchen and bathrooms inside the new dairy building is available for use with hire. Please note we have a maximum number of 16 guests for all events at The Dairy. Dining to be held in the original dairy. Options for inside dining in the new dairy building is available for events of up to 10 guests only.
We provide the location for the event only, all other details of the event itself must be organised by the hirer.

The Dairy is located a short 20 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Byron Bay, 7 minutes from the quaint Newrybar village and is just 15 minutes from the coastal town, Lennox Head.
Getting to The Dairy is easy, only a 15 minute drive from the Ballina Airport.
